Complex Reinforced Structure at Hilly Road Repair Case

This project used soil nails combined with geogrids to repair a hilly, narrow road.

Using soil nails improved the surrounding soil by solidifying it and enhancing the stabilization of the existing slope. The soil nails also worked to disperse lateral earth pressure within the slope. The connection system between the soil nails and geogrid eliminated any risk of pullout failure due to the geogrid’s buried depth.

The steady structure still plays a significant role for traffic after serious storm attacks during past two years.
