Our project consisted of a wedding ceremony and reception for clients that were interested in planning out of the box. The city was limited in indoor/outdoor venues, so our project was about creating the perfect scenario where they could enjoy an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception.

The purpose for our company was to give the client everything they were imagining and planning for and more. It was also to showcase the extended possibilities for tent weddings in our area. The client requested a beautiful outdoor ceremony that would withstand the impending weather as well as a reception modeled after the famed Las Vegas nightclub, PURE. It was to consist of all white elements, including carpet, walls and the tent lining, which was imperative for the lighting design. The client was also interested in a dance floor that was situated in the center of the tent. To enhance the dance club theme, we suggested that we position the DJ in the center of the dance floor on a raised platform and sink the dance floor six inches lower than the existing floor. Glass walls were added to enhance the overall theme as well as allowing the guests to view the lake. Other than the overall look of the reception, the client wanted to ensure that all of the guests felt as if they were at a celebrity event, stating that she wanted it to look and feel different than any wedding attended in the area.

The client was pleased that our company was able to provide a sound structure for 450 guests, as well as executing all the details necessary to ensure that the space looked and felt like an intimate night club. We used a 15 meter by 35 meter by 3 meter structure for the reception, complete with a white pleated liner from floor to ceiling. The Wenger strata floor was used to elevate and level the space so that the sunken dance floor could be accomplished. We used a 12-foot by 32-foot frame to drape off the private seating areas. Additional risers were used to add more to the night club look. Glass walls were used for the main entrance and VIP viewing area. A custom star gable end was built for the entrance to add to the contemporary look. Additional tents were used to cover the executive restroom trailer as well as food prep. The wedding was held in an adjacent 40-foot by 80-foot gable end Navitrac frame tent complete with liner and window sidewalls. The tent was positioned so that the view of the lake was behind the bridal party. Overall, we created a building where one had not previously existed. We were also able to assist with the acquisition of rental products such as chairs, tables and silverware as well as a bathroom trailer and generator for all the necessary power required. The client felt as if we listened to all of her ideas and were able to expand on those to ensure all of her needs were not only met but exceeded throughout the process.

The result was a fantastic night-club themed reception. The stylish ambiance throughout the event resonated the couple’s personality and the details executed were more than the couple could have hoped for. From the star gable entrance, the guests were greeted with a stark white palate, illuminated by the white lighting behind the lining and the fabric walls. The guests greeted the couple as they sat on the VIP stage adjacent to the dance floor and elevated from the regular floor. The DJ controlled the atmosphere the entire night from the elevated center of the room, as the lights continued to change color according to the genre of music played. Guests were able to dance the night away on the sunken dance floor or relax in the cabanas, complete with white furniture to compliment the theme. Overall, the look and feel of the event was exactly as the couple had planned. Guests walked away talking about the creative theme and all the details that went into the look of the party.
