Marine powerboat covers
43 Dragon
Marine Concepts
This boat cover used three different colors of material to create graphics that match the boat. Due to the cost of the paint, it was important for the cover not to rest on the top of the boat. Instead, the cover is suspended from a track with a roller assembly inside and can simply be pulled over the boat and zipped up the back, covering the entire boat in less than 60 seconds. In this way the boat stays clean until you are ready to use it again.
The purpose of the project was to create a cover that would not rest on the boat and its expensive paint job, and the client wanted the cover to look just like the boat so that from a distance you can not tell the boat is covered at all. The client did not want snaps anywhere on the boat, which is why we chose a zipper, and wanted the cover to keep the boat perfectly protected until it was ready to be used again.
The entire cover was designed, fit and cut by computer using several custom programs. The boat was not available for measurement because it was in another state being painted, so a 3D digital design was made and the entire cover was made from that 3D image.
The cover was a perfect fit and matches the graphics on the boat perfectly.
