The client desired an architecturally unique pool-side retreat. Our company design provided shade with a dramatic water and sky element as it blended with the client’s scenic backyard. Wood frames followed the look and pattern of the trees and the custom shade resembled cool clouds, providing an escape from the sun and heat.

The architect specified a shade structure which tied in with the pool and had elements of both water, waves and clouds. The powder-coated aluminum frame is clad with Ferrari 502 fabric and is mounted on a steel structure clad in wood. The shade awnings are rigid and permanently set in the floating design. The material allows for light transmission yet shields from UV rays and direct sunlight.

The cabana is a stunning example of light and shade, blending perfectly with the garden design. Our client marveled at the fluid design of the custom cabana, excited that we could create a shade top that looks alive in the wind, yet is totally stationary.
