Snow Orchids

Warwick Bell of Fabric Structure Systems was commissioned to create a physical interpretation of an illustrator’s artwork. The art was based on a snow orchid morphing and bursting forth through a frozen cityscape. The project was commissioned by the Christchurch Arts Festival organizers as its brand image, by UMERIC, and feature art piece for the 2007 Christchurch Arts Festival.

The flower was installed in the center of Cathedral Square, Christchurch, New Zealand.
